This site belongs to Tay Marais, an independent romance author. It is a personal author site, not a company. This page explains what information is collected here, why, and how to have it removed.

What is collected

• Your email address and first name, only if you choose to enter them in the form to receive the free sample chapters. Nothing on this site requires you to give any information in order to read it.
• Basic activity data from the Pinterest tag installed on the site, which records that a visit happened and whether it came from a Pin. It is used to understand which Pins bring readers here.

How it is used

Your email address is used to send you the free sample and occasional updates about the books: new releases, pre-orders, and advance reader copies. It is not sold, rented, traded, or shared with anyone for their own use.

Who else touches it

• Google (Forms, Sheets and Apps Script) stores the list and sends the emails.
• Pinterest receives the activity data described above through its tag.
• GitHub Pages hosts this site and, like any web host, processes the requests your browser makes.

How long it is kept

Your email stays on the list until you ask to leave it. When you unsubscribe or ask for deletion, the record is removed.

Your choices

You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email, or by writing to the address below. You can also ask what is stored about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted, and it will be done.

Cookies

This site sets no cookies of its own. The Pinterest tag may set its own; you can block them in your browser settings without losing access to anything here.

Children

These books are written for adult readers, and this site is not directed at children under 13. No information is knowingly collected from them.

Pinterest API

Tay Marais uses the Pinterest API to schedule and publish Pins on her own Pinterest account. It touches only that account. It does not read, collect, or store data belonging to any other Pinterest user.
